IMF of Osh State University (Oshsu), a medical institute which is one of the country's oldest higher education institutions and is situated in the south Kyrgyzstan. The university is now recognized as one of the top universities in Southern Kyrgyzstan. On the foundation of the Osh Pedagogical Institute, it was founded in 1951. Initially, there were five faculties. By Presidential Decree, the Institute was renamed Osh State University in 1992.Osh State University's Medical Institute has become the largest university in the country.

The university's structure consists of three research institutes, 12 faculties, 93 departments, and 27 educational, academic and internationalcenters.More than 1,500 teachers are employed by the Medical Institute at Osh State University.That included more than 120 professors, 300 associate professors, and PhD holders, as well as one corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Academy of KR, and international academies.
